With over twenty years experience in the motor trade and after having restored my own cars, I opened The Village Classic Car Company for business in September 2017.
From partial to full restorations, we ensure that your car is safe and roadworthy. Work is tailored to suit your budget and honesty is always at the forefront of what we do - if it isn't broken we don't fix it.
Our belief if that all old cars should retain originality as much as possible, or have modifications in keeping with the period but individuality is a personal choice, and your car is as individual as you are so we are happy to carry out whatever changes you want made.
Most work is carried out in house with only some specialist work sent out to reputable local companies, for example shot blasting and powder coating or cylinder head skimming. Our facilities include a well equipped workshop utilising a lot of old equipment suitable for old cars, as well as a good sized spray room.
We started out in a unit at the north east end of Ryhope, Sunderland at Bridge End Works which took its name from the railway bridge that ran along side the site. Sadly neither the railway nor the bridge is there anymore, but remnants can still be seen.
Having outgrown our original unit we now have a modern large unit on the outskirts of Sunderland city centre.
